Initial, a streetwear boutique that describes itself as specializing in “hypebeast fashion,” is opening a shop on the second floor of the Crown Center shopping center.
The shop founded by Ivan Quiu, will feature high-end brands aimed toward the hypebeast fashion scene including Gucci, Nike, Comme des Garcons, Louis Vuitton, Vape Apparel and others, according to a press release.
According to the Urban Dictionary, a hypebeast is defined as “a kid that collect clothing, shoes, and accessories for the sole purpose of impressing others.”

Collectible sneakers will account for about 80 percent of the Initial inventory, according to the release. Sports accessories and collectible toys will make up the remainder.
The 964 square-foot shop’s inventory will come from direct suppliers and consignors. Hours will be Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
